The problem
Nobody got into this business to search PDFs in a dark room.
Every error code on your show floor already has an answer. It's just buried in a 200-page manual, a forum thread from 2019, or the head of a tech who isn't on this gig. Ask Roadie gets it to you while you're still standing in front of the rack.
How it works
Gear. Symptom. Answer.
- 01
Pick your gear
Start typing the make or model. Consoles, projectors, fixtures, LED processors, switchers, wireless, comms, show software.
- 02
Describe the symptom
In your own words, or paste the error code off the display. “Red X on the Dante subscription” is plenty.
- 03
Get the likeliest fix first
The likeliest cause first and the steps in order — with the manual page when it has one, and a note when other techs have confirmed the fix.
Then tell it how it went. A 👍 closes it out. A 👎 keeps Ask Roadie working the problem with you.
Why Ask Roadie

FAQ
Questions from the floor
What gear does Ask Roadie know?
500+ systems from 70+ manufacturers across audio, video, lighting, LED, playback, streaming, comms, networking and power — hardware and show software both. Think DiGiCo, Yamaha, Shure, Meyer Sound, L-Acoustics, Barco, Christie, Blackmagic, Novastar, Martin, ROBE, ETC, Chauvet, Clear-Com and a lot more.
What if my unit isn't covered yet?
Ask anyway. Ask Roadie will still work the problem with you. Obscure is fine — obscure is the point.
How do I know the answer is right?
Answers are grounded in real manufacturer manuals and fixes proven by working techs. When we have the manual, Ask Roadie gives you the page so you can check it before you touch anything — and when other techs have confirmed a fix, it tells you that too.
What happens when the first answer doesn't work?
Tap 👎 and tell it what you're seeing. Ask Roadie picks up where you left off and keeps going until it's fixed — or until you've got a clear next move, like a service call.
Is it safe to use for rigging, power or lasers?
Ask Roadie is a troubleshooting aid, not a replacement for qualified personnel. Rigging, electrical and laser answers come with the safety callouts that apply, and it will never tell you to bypass a safety interlock or exceed a load rating.
Do I need to install an app?
No. Ask Roadie runs in the browser on any phone, tablet or laptop. On a phone, use “Add to Home Screen” and it opens full-screen like an app.
