After Effects 2026 keeps crashing randomly mid-project
Likely cause: Adobe lists compressed disk caching as incompatible with certain projects/hardware in 26.0 and 26.2; disabling it returns to the uncompressed cache path.

After Effects composition panel is black / not rendering (Windows laptop)
Likely cause: Forces the Intel iGPU off its vendor driver so AE renders the viewer on the NVIDIA GPU instead of the broken hybrid path.

After Effects crashes on startup on Windows (old Intel OpenCL)
Likely cause: A stale OpenCL vendor registration makes AE load a broken legacy driver during GPU enumeration at launch.

Substance material shows color bars / offline in After Effects comp
Likely cause: Forces AE to re-read the material so the mesh relinks to it.

Unable to create AGM Font ("Adobe Clean - Bold") – After Effects won't launch
Likely cause: AE loads its internal UI font from its own folder; the exploit-protection font block stops it, so the UI can't be built.
