Meyer Sound LEO troubleshooting
The Meyer Sound LEO problems live-event techs bring to Ask Roadie most (also called LEO family, LEO-M). Pick your symptom, or describe your own in plain words, and get the likeliest fix first, with the manual page when there is one.
Common LEO errors & problems
What techs run into most, and what's usually behind it. The step-by-step fix for your exact unit is in Ask Roadie.

Amp/electronics suspected dead - is it field-serviceable?
Likely cause: Meyer's self-powered design isolates all active electronics into one replaceable module, so field recovery is a module swap, not a repair.

Amplifier running hot / thermal concern in high-ambient shows
Likely cause: The redundant fan design masks a single fan failure; recognizing reserve-fan engagement catches a developing cooling fault before shutdown.

Boxes drop out or Active LED cycles under heavy low end / high SPL
Likely cause: When the feed sags below the 165 V turn-on / lower safe limit during bass transients the supply protectively drops the amp, showing as dropouts.

Hum, buzz, or noise floor issues on a LEO-M array
Likely cause: Self-powered boxes reference audio ground to the local mains; a dirty N-E relationship injects hum.
- Step-by-step fixGet the fix →
Loudspeaker not showing up in RMS / Compass software
Likely cause: RMS is a shared twisted-pair bus over the audio connector; a break, address collision, or an unsupported RMServer firmware version stops the box from reporting.

No audio / Active LED does not turn solid green within 10 seconds of power-up
Likely cause: The intelligent AC power supply will not enable the amplifier outside its safe operating window; a solid green Active LED is the manufacturer's ready indicator.

One or both Limit LEDs lighting / flashing during show
Likely cause: The Limit LEDs report TruPower limiter activity per channel; constant limiting means the amp is protecting the driver and you have run out of headroom, so the fix is level/EQ, not the box.
