Column wobbles / leans on an uneven floor
Likely cause: The column is only as square as its base; an unlevel base cascades lean and gaps up the whole stack and bends the connecting plates.

Fingerprints, smudges and dust show up badly once the panels are lit
Likely cause: Transmitted light from behind exaggerates any surface contamination, so marks invisible in room light glow when the column is lit.

How do I clean the acrylic panels without wrecking them?
Likely cause: Ammonia, alcohol and glass cleaners craze and cloud acrylic over time (fine surface cracks).

Panels are getting scratched or holding static dust in storage/transit
Likely cause: Frosted acrylic is soft and scratches easily; face-to-face contact and dry rags mar the finish, and acrylic builds static that pulls in dust.

Printed graphic panel does not sit flat / edges lift
Likely cause: The retaining channel and end screws hold the insert flat; a partially seated or cold-curled panel lifts at the edges and reads as a defect when backlit.

Tall freestanding column feels tippy / stability on the floor
Likely cause: A narrow, tall column has a high center of gravity and tips easily if bumped or in a draft; base ballast and bracing lower the effective center of gravity and widen the stability footprint.
