Ikan Lyra LED troubleshooting
The Ikan Lyra LED problems live-event techs bring to Ask Roadie most (also called Lyra LB10, Lyra LW10, soft light). Pick your symptom, or describe your own in plain words, and get the likeliest fix first, with the manual page when there is one.
Common Lyra LED errors & problems
What techs run into most, and what's usually behind it. The step-by-step fix for your exact unit is in Ask Roadie.

Cannot adjust color temperature on bi-color LB10/LB5
Likely cause: The single knob multiplexes brightness and color temperature with a press-toggle; techs expecting a separate CCT knob miss the push action, and daylight heads simply do not have the feature.

Fixture will not power on / no light output
Likely cause: Lyra LB10/LW10 run on 14-18VDC and the AC brick outputs 15V; if the plate's 2-pin lead is unseated after a plate change, battery power never reaches the head.
- Step-by-step fixGet the fix →
Knob dimmer only goes down to 10% and will not fully black out
Likely cause: Lyra dimming range is spec'd 10-100%; full off is a power function, not the bottom of the dimmer.
- Step-by-step fixGet the fix →
Light flickers on camera at high frame/shutter rates or in slow motion
Likely cause: LED dimming flicker at speed comes from PWM/voltage droop; a stable 15V rail at full duty removes the strobing artifact, isolating a true hardware fault if it remains.
- Step-by-step fixGet the fix →
Need to switch between Gold-mount (AB) and V-mount battery plate
Likely cause: The plates connect to the head by an internal 2-pin lead; if that connector is not moved to the new plate, the plate is dead even though it is bolted on.
- Step-by-step fixGet the fix →
One remote is triggering several heads, or a head ignores its remote
Likely cause: Pairing is stored per head, so multiple heads can share a remote by design; unintended grouping is just leftover pairings.
- Step-by-step fixGet the fix →
Remote beeps/chirps on every press and it is distracting on set
Likely cause: The remote has an audible feedback tone on by default; the C+D 5-second hold is the mute toggle.
- Step-by-step fixGet the fix →
RF remote does not control the light
Likely cause: The RF remote must be paired to each fixture via the 5-second A hold (learn mode); the two model families use different button assignments.
- Step-by-step fixGet the fix →
Runs fine on AC but battery power is weak, cuts out, or will not start
Likely cause: The fixture regulates from 14-18VDC and trips off when a sagging pack drops below that; its ~90W draw drains small batteries quickly.
