Audio input low or no signal from mic
Likely cause: The lone analog audio input provides only 3V PiP; mics requiring 48V phantom or higher bias will not be properly powered.

Likely cause: Each RovoCam is addressed by a unique bus/ID on the VISCA line; multicam control depends on selecting the right ID and on RovoControl 2.0+ multicam support.

Camera unstable / shuts down in hot enclosure or outdoors
Likely cause: Exceeding the rated operating temperature causes thermal instability; the camera is specified only to 40°C ambient.

Likely cause: Optical zoom preserves resolution; Super Resolution Zoom uses Sony processing to extend reach with minimal loss, whereas plain digital zoom simply upscales and softens.

Likely cause: The LOCK LED reflects the receiver detecting a valid, supported video signal from the camera; a format the downstream device cannot accept or an unpowered camera leaves it unlocked.

Likely cause: RovoCam's advanced features and receiver firmware are exposed/updated through the RovoControl app; running the latest version unlocks the full feature set.

Likely cause: Only the RovoRx-SDI exposes SDI and a genlock reference input required to sync RovoCam into a multi-camera/broadcast signal chain.

Noisy / poor low-light image
Likely cause: The Sony FCB-ER8300 module's image processor offers these enhancers; enabling them cleans up gain-induced noise and improves usable low-light detail.

Likely cause: RovoCam draws its power over the same HDBaseT cable (PoH) or from local DC; excessive cable length/resistance or a non-PoH receiver starves the camera.

VISCA / RovoControl camera control not responding
Likely cause: RovoCam accepts VISCA over RS-232 at a fixed 9600 baud; a wrong bus ID or baud mismatch means commands are ignored even though video still passes.
